Life in your fourth quarter looks different from what you expected.

There's a quiet tension you can't ignore. Maybe when you think about traditional retirement—one centered on relaxing or traveling—it doesn't feel right for you.

Life in your fourth quarter looks different from what you expected, and you're unsure about what comes next.

You're not the only one. People like you are wrestling with the ongoing desire for meaning and purpose and don't know how or where to find it.

Purpose doesn't retire. It relocates.

As life changes, purpose changes with it. The Grand Plan helps participants feel anchored instead of scattered, energized instead of hesitant, and more connected to what they're building toward.

You want something more,
but you're not sure what it is or how to find it.

And in the meantime, the questions keep circling.

  • What can I do now to build toward the life I want in the future?
  • How can I best use my skills and experience to make a greater impact?
  • How can I shape a version of "retirement" that energizes me for what's next?
  • What is possible in this quarter that wasn't possible earlier in my life?

Dream Bigger About the Life You Want Now

The fourth quarter is an opportunity to use everything you've been building—your experiences, skills, relationships, and wisdom—to bring new possibilities to life.

Purpose Taking Shape

“

Having just turned 62, my head and heart had been yearning for something more. Questions such as, 'What's next?' 'What more can I offer?' and 'How can I serve Christ and live out my passions in the best way possible at my age/phase?' had been mulling in my head and heart for the past few months. Going through The Grand Plan helped inspire, equip, and challenge me for this new season ahead!

The Grand Plan exceeded my expectations in many ways. As someone who recently retired, I had many thoughts about what the years ahead might look like, but those ideas were not well defined in some areas. This course provided both the framework and inspiration I needed to turn those thoughts into a clear and meaningful vision for the future.

I highly recommend The Grand Plan to anyone approaching retirement or recently retired. It provides a constructive, interesting, and Biblically based experience to help with the transition into your 'fourth quarter' of life. The Grand Plan reinforces the truth that we can have a fulfilling and impactful life in retirement as we effectively engage our families and communities while also pursuing our life's passions.

Frequently asked questions

Who is The Grand Plan for?
The Grand Plan is for people approaching or already in their fourth quarter of life. Most participants are between 52 and 70+, though anyone from about 40 onward will find it useful. It's for people who have decades of experience and energy left to give, and who want to be deliberate about where that goes next. If you're asking what comes after the career you built, this was made for you.
How is The Grand Plan structured?
The process moves through six summits, each building on the one before: Personal Peace, Meaningful Contribution, Expanded Community, Increased Learning, Clear Legacy, and Holistic Health. Every summit combines short videos, guided reflection questions, planning exercises, and practical challenges. The course is entirely self-paced — there's no schedule to keep and no sessions to attend. You work through an updatable course dashboard and keep lifetime access to everything.
Why does The Grand Plan focus on the fourth quarter of life?
Roughly 10,000 Americans retire every day, and 77 million are between 52 and 70. Most of them were handed a version of retirement built around rest and travel, and for a lot of people that version doesn't fit. The fourth quarter is when your experience, skills, relationships, and wisdom are at their fullest — which makes it the wrong time to coast and the right time to plan.
Will participants spend more time on reflection or practical exercises?
Both, in roughly equal measure. The early summits lean toward reflection — writing your story, identifying what you're good at, naming what matters. The later ones turn that into specifics: goals, habits, routines, and a plan for how you'll spend your time. Reflection without action doesn't change anything, so every summit ends with something to do.
Is The Grand Plan only for people who are retired or planning for retirement?
No. Plenty of participants have no intention of retiring, and some are years away from thinking about it. The Grand Plan isn't about leaving work — it's about deciding what you want this stretch of your life to be for. Retirees, people still working, and people somewhere in between all go through the same six summits.
Can The Grand Plan be used by churches and small groups?
Yes, and it's often better that way. Churches, book clubs, alumni groups, and neighborhood circles use The Grand Plan to move through the process together. Because the course is self-paced, no trained facilitator is required — though a church or group that wants to teach it themselves certainly can. Group licensing starts at $1,500 per year, with additional participants at $35 each.
